General Warranty

Limited Warranty and Protection Plan

The following limited warranty applies to products purchased directly from Prism Systems (via www.prismsystems.ca or through a direct employee of Prism Systems). Products purchased through third-party websites or retailers are not covered under these terms.

Equipment Provided by Prism Systems
Equipment provided by Prism Systems is intended for use with service plans purchased directly from the company. These units remain the property of Prism Systems and are located at the Customer’s premises to enable monitoring. Prism Systems may, at its discretion, replace any system or accessories due to defects in materials or workmanship, provided an active service plan is maintained. Normal wear and tear, accidental damage, or misuse are not covered under this warranty. For additional protection against wear, damage, or loss, Customers may enroll in the optional Protection Plan described below.

Protection Plan Terms and Conditions
Prism Systems offers an optional Protection Plan for all products. This plan is available as a paid add-on with a recurring monthly fee, varying by product. This Protection Plan is not an insurance contract. Prism Systems, located at 4 20071 113B Ave, Maple Ridge, BC V2X 0Z2, is the provider and administrator of the Protection Plan.

Coverage: The Protection Plan covers all purchased or leased Prism Systems equipment, including system consoles and transmitters (“Covered Product”).

Eligibility: The plan is available to all new and existing Prism Systems Customers. Customers represent that the Covered Product is in proper working condition at the start of coverage and that their account with Prism Systems is current and in good standing.

Cost: Charges for the Protection Plan will follow the payment of $7/mo in addition to the terms of your current Prism Systems Monitoring Agreement (monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, or annually).

What is Covered: The Protection Plan provides replacement coverage for functional part failures, loss, or theft of the Covered Product. This includes damage from defects, malfunctions, accidental damage, or normal wear and tear. Replacement units may be new, used, or refurbished, as determined by Prism Systems.

Exclusions and Customer Responsibilities: Coverage does not extend to misuse, commercial use, misleading or fraudulent claims, falsified documents, or failure to cooperate with Prism Systems during diagnosis or repair. Customers must fully disclose relevant information, protect the Covered Product from further damage, and follow the owner’s manual instructions.

Replacement: To request a replacement, contact Prism Systems Customer Care at 604-515-0050. Replacement units are typically shipped within 3-5 business days. Customers must return the defective Covered Product using the shipping instructions provided. Shipping costs for the replacement unit are covered by Prism Systems. Troubleshooting may be required before a replacement is issued, and Prism Systems reserves the right to deny replacement if the issue is not covered under the Protection Plan. Coverage allows for one (1) system console and two (2) transmitters to be replaced per year. Prism Systems may terminate the Protection Plan for abuse or improper conduct.

Coverage Period: Protection begins once the first Protection Plan payment is received and continues in line with your Monitoring Agreement payment cycle until canceled by the Customer or terminated by Prism Systems. Protections under this plan supersede any existing warranty.

Cancellation: Customers have three (3) days to cancel the Protection Plan without charge after enrollment. Prism Systems may cancel the plan at any time, providing written notice at least fifteen (15) days prior to cancellation. To cancel or learn more, contact Prism Systems Customer Care at 604-515-0050.

Renewal: The Protection Plan automatically renews according to your payment cycle at the current rate until the Customer requests cancellation.

Modification: Terms may only be modified in writing by Prism Systems.

Protection Plan Limitations: Replacement units will use genuine factory parts when possible, though non-original or remanufactured parts may be used. To the extent permitted by law, Prism Systems’ liability for defective products is limited to replacement. This is the sole and exclusive remedy under the Protection Plan. Prism Systems is not responsible for special, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages or any damage resulting from failure of the Covered Product or related equipment. This Protection Plan is your only express warranty, and all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are excluded. The Protection Plan is non-transferable.
